A favorite dinner here consists of lightly cooked broccoli along with chick peas sauteed in olive oil with plenty of garlic, salt and a bit of red peeper flakes tossed together with whole wheat linguini. YUM.Ok...First, your blog totally whets my appetite. YUM.
Okay:
Broccoli is my favorite vegetable, which is saying a lot because there are so many vegetables to love. Broccoli is incredibly versatile and healthy, and I never, EVER tire of it. I buy broccoli every single week, always need it and always use it. It's also got that gorgeous green color thing going for it, symbol of all good things. :)
My favorite way to eat broccoli (a way I don't indulge in very often) is TEMPURA!
Also love broccoli soup, raw broccoli, simple steamed broccoli with lemon, broccoli inside vegie lasagna and on top of pizza.
Interestingly, Marilyn Diamond of Fit For Life has a method for peeling and slicing the thick stalks (without florets) of broccoli (the part that usually get tossed away!) and lightly sauteing them in sesame oil and garlic, then tossing with tamari and lemon. It is so addictive.n.hillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02648353195193068253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33672952.post-82332192850053814292009-02-11T16:23:00.000-06:002009-02-11T16:23:00.000-06:00Well, since I named my blog Broccoli Makes Me Happ...Well, since I named my blog Broccoli Makes Me Happy, it is probably pretty apparent that I LOVE broccoli.
