Maple Walnut Cookies – Sweet Freedom Saturday

Last Saturday I mentioned I was undecided on which of Ricki’s Sweet Freedom cookies to bake. I was looking for a cookie to complement my Peach Strawberry Ice Cream and finally decided on Maple Walnut Cookies. Ricki describes them as chewy with a crisp exterior. These delicious cookies were the perfect choice.

I’m glad the recipe only makes a dozen cookies, because although I tried to save some for Chase, I ate them all myself!

Diann, they look perfect! And at least you can feel okay knowing they are mostly flax and walnuts--some healthy fat and protein! ;)

That's the blessing/curse about Ricki's Sweet Freedom recipes, isn't it? They're all so amazing that I have to give them away or I'll eat them all myself!

Awesome! I love that you admitted you ate them all yourself -- we've all been there, at least once!

Mmm, maple! Such a splurge these days, but so worth it... I'm sure the cookies were every bit as delicious as they look!
